The Ultimate Spring Awakening Music Festival 2019 Schedule

Headed to Spring Awakening Music Festival this weekend? With the number of artists booked this year, it can be overwhelming trying to determine who’s a must-see. But don’t fret—whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned festgoer, Saint Audio’s got you covered on everything you need to check out this weekend at SAMF.

Friday, June 7th:

Start your weekend off with Chicago native and The Verge writer Dani Deahl‘s set (2:20-3:00, Solstice), then make your way over to the curators of Chicago’s wildest party, Porn & Chicken (3:00-4:00, Equinox). Keep the party going with Golf Clap (4:45-6:00, The Function), or mellow things out with Gabriel & Dresden (5:45-7:00, Anjunabeats Takeover at The Hangar) before gearing up for the final sets of the night. We recommend taking the opportunity to see Shiba San‘s tech-house set (6:00-7:30, Corona Electric Beach) earlier in the day, so you can check out Zomboy‘s wubs (7:10-8:25, Equinox) while snagging a great spot in the crowd for our headliner pick, Illenium (8:45-10:00, Equinox).

Saturday, June 8th:

Warm up for a day full of bass with Chicago duo Birthdayy Partyy (2:20-3:00, Equinox), and get cozy—while we don’t normally advocate for primarly staying at one stage all day, the lineup here is just too darn good to miss. Catch 1788-L (3:20-4:20), DROELOE (4:20-5:20), G Jones (5:25-6:25), Flosstradamus b2b 4B (6:30-7:30), and Malaa (7:35-8:50) at the Equinox Stage, then hang on tight for the trippy headlining set from Rezz (8:55-10:00). However, if locking in to one place all day makes you antsy, we suggested checking out What So Not (5:20-6:20, Solstice), Spag Heddy (6:30-7:30, Bass Kitchen Takeover at The Hangar), or Destructo (8:45-10:00, The Function) on Saturday.

Sunday, June 9th:

Show up for local talent Bentley Dean (1:30-2:30, The Function), then settle in at the Solstice Stage for Gettoblaster (2:00-3:00), Gene Farris (3:00-4:00), and GTA (4:00-5:00). From there, you’ve got some options—hang out for Chris Lake‘s set (5:00-6:00), or switch up the vibe with Peekaboo‘s dubstep sounds (4:00-5:00, Equinox). Keep the party going with Dillon Francis (7:10-8:10, Solstice), or chill out to Nora En Pure (7:15-8:30, The Function), then close out the weekend with the soulful funk of GRiZ‘s headlining set (8:45-10:00, Equinox).

Looking to keep the party going? Tickets for the official Spring Awakening afterparties are now on sale.

  1. […] Spring Awakening Music Festival, Chicago’s largest EDM festival of the summer, relocated to Hoffman Estates this year. The location is deep in suburban Chicago—it took me an hour to drive there without traffic, and nearly double with it. Public transit options, while available, were similar in travel time, but one could avoid parking at the festival—an idea that in retrospect seems very wise. Parking was, to put it simply, an exercise in frustration. Once the actual parking lots were found, the lack of signage for where to pull in or what lots still had spots available made the experience a tedious one. Then came the walk. […]
