NYC duo Brasstracks, known for their jazz-infused work in the worlds of hip hop and electronic music, take on Drake’s hot new single “In My Feelings”. The trumpet topline is a refreshing take on the melody that I haven’t stopped humming all month, while the guitar countermelody adds a dollop of breezy lightness to the cover. The organ’s a nice touch too, and makes this cover of “In My Feelings” align with the jazz and gospel elements that Brasstracks is known for in their music. Also of note—the Brasstracks cover of “In My Feelings” is a great pick for those of you wanting to jump in on the viral dance craze inspired by the original track.
