“I was made for loving you baby, you were made for loving me…”
These words were originally rendered by American rock band KISS in 1979 in what is now recognized as one of the band’s most popular singles of all time, “I Was Made for Lovin’ You.”
Aussie producer Broken Hill has reimagined the single with “Lovin’ You:” a synthy-heavy indie dance track that synergizes the raw vocal expression of 70’s rock with a steady indie-dance rhythm.
“‘Lovin’ You’ holds a special place in my heart,” says the artist. “There’s something about the nostalgic atmosphere and the message behind the lyrics that really hits home… Blending a throwback vocal topline with a fresh, driving indie dance groove. It’s that contrast of old and new that makes it feel timeless to me.”
Broken Hill’s name is an homage to a heritage rooted in Australia’s rugged outback region. The young producer has plenty of professional production experience under his belt, having worked as an engineer and producer for years before setting out on his own as an artist. He has amassed support from dance music heavy-hitters including Solomun, Max Styler, and AdamTen.
“Lovin’ You” is out now via LA-based label Funkshway.
