Glass Petals Drop The Visuals for Blood-Pumping New Single: “Cardio” featuring Drew Ray Tanner

“Club Music Only.” The mantra of Vancouver’s Glass Petals has never been better on display than in the music video for the latest single “Cardio”, featuring Drew Ray Tanner. The latest exciting release from the hau5trap label, “Cardio” is the perfect combo of light-hearted club music underscored with blood-pumping gym-ready beats.

The video sees Tanner, who also features as a series regular on the CW’s Riverdale, as well as the duo themselves literally doing cardio on the treadmill in the club. The video doesn’t take itself too seriously, much like the artists themselves, but nonetheless shows the multi-talented crew in their element. That is to say, on the dancefloor.

Felix Cartal and Johnny Jover, who make up the duo Glass Petals, revealed the logic behind the video and track itself. “People have been asking us ‘you’re DJs, do you have any good music for the gym?’ So we figured let’s just make the anthem”. Tanner furthers this, explaining his own involvement on the track, explaining: “I love cardio, I love dance floors. So this was just a match made in heaven”.

Tanner had already been recording a song with Cartal when the latter asked him to lay down a single line of vocals. That line would become the entire lyrics of “Cardio,” an earworm if there ever was one.

The video and accompanying visuals are out now. You can find Glass Petals and Drew Ray Tanner on Instagram.
