Pat Carroll is swiftly becoming one of Australia’s most consistent electronic producers. Flipping the latest single from the newly formed side project of The Kite String Tangle and Woodes, his remix of “Intuition” is a highly emotive display of flickering synths and immaculately sculpted breaks.
“The Hawthorne Effect” – Llyr
A veritable stampede of acidic sound design, “The Hawthorne Effect” is a feverish, soul-churning listen. Incorporating field recordings from the rainforests of Borneo, this textural masterpiece is the second single taken from Llyr’s debut album titled ‘Biome’ which is out now on Max Cooper’s Mesh imprint.
“Higher” – KETTAMA
An absolute stomper of a tune from Irish producer KETTAMA rounds out this month’s selections. Released on Aussie label Steel City Dance Discs, “Higher” features a walloping kick and choppy, bright vocal samples that will take you on a spiritual voyage to the sweatiest nightclub dance floor.
