MANSION reimagines Suniel Fox and Henry Strange‘s euphoric “Revolution” into a slinky house tune. The rolling four-on-the-flour rhythm and buoyant, edgy synths add a touch of grit to the track, turning “Revolution” into a sexy after-hours stomper. When speaking about the remix process, MANSION said that “Suniel and Henry wrote such a great tune to begin with and it was an absolute pleasure remixing it. I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me creating it.”
MANSION’s remix is part of Suniel Fox and Henry Strange’s Revolution [Remixes] EP. The EP features five unique remixes of “Revolution” that range from dubstep to experimental dance music. To support the release of Revolution [Remixes], Marie Poppins is hosting a dance contest between now and August 7th. The winner will be announced on August 10th.
Suniel Fox shares that “The original ‘Revolution’ track was created to give people a vein of fun and a glimmer of hope through this tough, crazy, and unprecedented year. When we turned our attention to the remixes, we wanted to highlight the importance of early LA rave culture and how it’s had such a huge impact on dance music. From Tyler Young’s house music homage to early rave days to Holly’s future bass approach we hope there’s something here for all those who need to dance.”
The full remix EP drops August 7th, and features additional remixes from Holly, Bosa, Tyler Young, and Frank Royal.
