Ecuadorian-Lithuanian DJ Riobamba‘s Brooklyn-based label APOCALIPSIS released their charity compilation Sin Fronteras, with 100% of proceeds from the album going to RAICES, Immigrant Defense Project, and Detention Watch Network. The label’s compilation “unapologetically affirms the rights and dignity of immigrant communities, and stands in solidarity with efforts to abolish an oppressive legal and immigration system.”
Sin Fronteras is now available via the APOCALIPSIS Bandcamp, where you can name your own price to download the 36-track soundtrack.
APOCALIPSIS shares that Sin Fronteras “features contributions by artists across club music undergrounds, spanning geographies of Houston, New York City, Miami, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and beyond. The compilation presents heart-centered storytelling unconfined by genre, merging dancehall en español, percussion-driven club tools, noise-inflected dembow, experimental pop, and disruptive soundscapes across an array of atmospheric dancefloor mutations.”
Download the compilation, and head to APOCALIPSIS’ Sin Fronteras benefit release party show at Elsewhere tonight (9/20) to see Riobamba, ARCHANGEL, Mala Fama, and more.
RSVP for free entry before midnight, or grab $10 tickets on Eventbrite. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the aforementioned charities.
