It’s 2018 and the world is in need of some of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs‘s genius. The costume-wearing, musically groundbreaking producer is back six years after the release of his debut album Trouble, and he’s here to talk about feelings. In “Don’t You Forget About Me”, the second single TEED’s released after his four-year hiatus, he dives headfirst into a moody 80s’ synthwave fever dream. Fuzzy, makeout-music guitars and reverb-dense synth keyboards make up the meat of this luxe track, while choral hums provide a lush backdrop to TEED’s melancholic reminiscing on a relationship past. In the words of my friend, “who hurt TEED?”
