Essentials: “Clouds” – Harrison Lipton

A month after Harrison Lipton‘s release of “Pool” comes “Clouds,” as the band gears up for the release of their debut album, Loveliness, set to drop next month. Both singles embody the dreamy, bedroom pop brand of Harrison Lipton.

The lush sound of “Clouds” is comprised of lazy bass chords complimenting the up-tempo snares in the background. Harrison’s hypnotic vocals pair so well with the melody and you can get a sense of his impressive vocal range throughout the track, such as the falsetto rift near the end. This track is easy to listen to on repeat; the sound has such an ethereal ebb and flow.

If this track is any indicator of the sound of the album, then I cannot wait for next month—this will definitely be on my summer playlist!
