Kanye West. Chance The Rapper. The Cool Kids. Lupe Fiasco. Vic Mensa. Some of hip hop’s most recognizable stars all came out of Chicago, and with the debut of his “Easy” video, I’d put money down that we’re going to add fellow Chicagoan NAVVI to that star lineup pretty damn soon.
Filmed and directed by Visual SZN, “Easy” is a collection of darkly cinematic shots that perfectly matches the mood of NAVVI’s flow. It’s an incredible track and video to drop to launch a project—the production of the entire piece rivals the work of most artists on the hip hop Top 40 charts today.
I’m excited to see what’s next for NAVVI, and if you’re smart, you’ll stay tuned too.
