My fresh find of the week goes to LA-based producer Allen French, whose debut EP Novo Mundo was released yesterday. I was most captivated by the overall direction of the music, as it’s a step away from the usual dance heavy tracks that come my way. With a soothing and soulful feel produced from a combination of live instrumentation and house grooves, the EP conveys a worldly message exploring and incorporating a medley of sounds from jazz to house to ambient.
