Hey guys, thanks for chatting with us! What’s the inspiration behind your mix for PressPlay?
It’s mostly all the tracks that we like to DJ or listen in our home. It’s really a mix of various things. What I mean is that the mix is not exclusive for the people who likes to dance, it’s for everyone.
You hail from Brazil – does Brazilian culture play a part in the music you make?
Brazilian music is in our blood of course, we already did a Baile Funk track with Bonde do Role, also a Bossa Nova version for Poster Girl, but our new album turns to be more electronic, so it’s more contemporary, we made this album for our heroes like Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx and more.
Tell us a little bit about your creative process. Do you find that collaborating makes being creative easier?
In a way yes, you involve more people working together instead a couple years ago, you use to have only one singer to make the entire album – now you have more people, more ideas to polish, more opportunities, more drafts, you also have to work more, and make more tracks.
Your new EP, Another Love, features funky remixes of your soulful disco single. Is this sound indicative of what’s to come from you two in 2016?
Don’t know about that, we only wanted to escape from the conventional and produce something that we like and not copy something that is going on, so yes I hope it is indicative!
