As the MSC Divina set sail for the Bahamian shores, HARD founder and Holy Ship head honcho Destructo (Gary Richards) led artists and fans on yet another fun-filled voyage for the first weekend of Holy Ship. The sold-out January journey of the popular festival cruise hosted artists such as Ryan Hemsworth, Dillon Francis, Ty Dolla $ign, Valentino Khan, and a slew of other musicians as enthusiastic fans partied alongside them. The close-knit community of the self-appointed “ShipFam” was stronger than ever in 2016, with shippers dancing until the early hours of the morning for Destructo’s famed Sunrise Sermon set, or getting down to some rap courtesy of a Ryan Hemsworth and Tommy Kruise back-to-back.
Sydney Jones set sail with Holy Ship, and captured the little moments that make this festival so special. From the fans to the performers, its clear why Holy Ship is so beloved – it’s the unique people who make this three-day trip a party to remember.
Holy Ship returns to sea on February 10th, heading from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas. You can get more information on the February cruise at Holy Ship’s official website, and keep up with photographer Sydney Jones on Twitter.
