On January 9th, J. Cole‘s documentary 2014 Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming will be air on HBO. However, Cole has just released a new mini-documentary series as a run up to the premiere show. You can watch Episode 1 below.
Road to Homecoming documents Cole‘s journey through the last year featuring what he has said to be some of the important moments in his life and on the 2014 Forest Hills Drive Tour. This first episode, “F#$K Money, Spread Love” and 33 minutes in length, follows Cole behind the scenes in the lead up to his album release, showing his methodology in his mastering of the album and also surprising fans with a private listening session of the album.
The concert and mini-doc will eventually be released on DVD (TBA). Read J. Cole’s message on the series below.
